BIO:
K9 Roso began his career with the Connecticut State Police alongside his beloved partner, Trooper First Class Aaron Pelletier. The pair graduated from the 223rd K9 Patrol Class in December 2021 and were first assigned to Troop H in Hartford before quickly earning a position with the State Police Tactical Unit. In their short time together on the road, Roso and Trooper Pelletier achieved numerous notable finds, demonstrating an unbreakable bond and unwavering dedication to service.
Tragically, Roso’s career was cut short when Trooper Pelletier was killed in the line of duty on May 30, 2024. During a traffic stop, he was struck and killed by an impaired driver who fled the scene. Roso remained physically unharmed in the cruiser, but the loss of his partner marked a heartbreaking turning point.
Now retired, Roso continues his duty in the most meaningful way — by standing guard over the Pelletier family. He lives with Dominique and their two sons, Troy and Zachary, spending his days chasing balls in the backyard and keeping watch over the family’s chickens.
Roso is more than a working dog — he is a symbol of loyalty, love, and the lasting bond between K9s and their handlers. As Foundation Dog #007, Roso holds a permanent place in the Harlow’s Heroes family, and in the legacy of service and sacrifice he represents.
